Factory capacity is usually calculated using 1MB = 1000KB and 1GB = 1000MB. However, the operating system uses a binary algorithm (1MB = 1024KB, 1GB = 1024MB). Also, not all of the capacity listed on the product is used for data storage, as some is used for formatting and other functions. Therefore, there will be a certain difference between the available capacity and the nominal capacity of the product. The actual available data storage capacity will be less than the capacity stated on the product.
